November 2020 News

We need to be flexible and adapt our programme to the changeable conditions. In the early part of the season and possibly for the whole season, we will have to limited seating capacity and provide safety to our volunteers and members. This means that our new season will run a little differently to previous years.

If you would like to be a TFS member please print off the membership form.

Membership benefits
Film Screenings
Entry to TFS programme of 12 films.

Film Library
We plan to have the TFS film library up and running by the start of the season. Members may borrow DVD and Blu-ray copies for free to TFS members.
We have purchased extra copies of this season’s films. Allowing members who cannot see the films in person an opportunity to watch them at home. Details to follow.

YourScreen
We are working with YourScreen to offer online films free to TFS members. This innovative project has recently been set up to enable film societies to offer a selected list of films to their members. These films are not available elsewhere and their content/style is often different from usual TFS films. Details to follow.

Please note that the film programme is subject to change in accord with government guidelines on Covid 19 or if the TFS committee judge local conditions carry too much risk.
If films are cancelled, our plan is to then show them at the end of the season.
If the Covid situation does not improve or worsens it is possible that part or even the whole season will have to be cancelled.  Should that happen refunds of membership fees will be offered.
